Successful completion of the training programme, assignment and self-evaluation will enable candidates to: -
Contribute to the risk assessment programme at their workplaces.
Conduct risk assessments; Organise and implement a risk assessment programme where this has not already been started; Participate in the identification of specific training needs for the activities being assessed;
Assist employers in meeting legal requirements and promote improved standards of health and safety within their organisation.
Following the course, candidates are required to undertake an assignment consisting of a risk assessment of a designated workplace. It is expected that this will take between 3 - 6 hours and should be completed within four weeks of the course. Candidates are required to complete the course, assignment and self evaluation achieving 60% or more in order to receive a CIEH Risk Assessment Certificate
