Who is the course aimed at?
Those working as technicians in the technical theatre industry who wish to gain a formal qualification. It also provides employers and freelancers with the opportunity to fulfil obligations under the Health & Safety at Work Act.
What will I gain from completing the qualification?
The course itself offers the opportunity to benefit from the vast experience of industry-based tutors, and access to relevant industry-specific technical equipment. Successful completion will result in a nationally-recognised qualification, from the awarding body Edexcel, which provides recognition of competence in this area.
How will I gain the qualification?
Through attendance on the course and completion of a range or written and practical assessments. The course runs for three days in theatres and venues throughout the country, with a mixture of classroom-delivered talks and hands-on practical sessions.
