This course is ideal for anyone wishing to obtain a solid foundation in the field of TCP/IP networking. It is also suitable as a refresher course for systems administrators.
The course content is split into three days. Day one will be concentrating on TCP/IP. It will start by explaining the history of TCP/IP, and will then cover the protocol stack, the different IP network classes, and subnets. The day will finish by a view on what's coming in the future.
Day two will cover Routing and ARP (Address Resolution Protocol). The day will start by introducing the concepts and will progress comfortably until the attendants are able to create advanced routing tables.
Day three will cover Firewalling and DHCP. As with the first two days there will be an introduction into the concepts at the start of the day. The attendants will be able to set up advanced firewalls and DHCP networks by the end of the day.
