Further Details

Course Information Roger Grice Associates offers the City and Guilds 7302 course over six days, Monday to Saturday inclusive. The course is intensive and City and Guilds stipulate a minimum of 40 hours in which the assignments and the practical delivery of teaching during micro-teaching sessions is covered. We believe that it is important that adequate time is given for the essential skills and underpinning knowledge to be developed and the necessary evidence gathered to prove you have reached the required standard and give you the confidence needed when teaching. It is for this reason that the sixth day is reserved for the microteaching sessions. There are five units in this course which must be covered to achieve this award. We will ensure that the course and the assignments are relevant to your work and vocational discipline. These are as follows: • Unit 1: Key principles of delivering learning. • Unit 2: Learning programmes. • Unit 3: Planning and preparing sessions, and delivery of a micro-teaching session. • Unit 4: Learning journal and summative profile. • Unit 5: Case study. To qualify for the Certificate students must successfully complete all of the assessment activities for all of the above units. For any student who does not reach the required standard a Certificate of Unit Credit will be issued listing the unit(s) that has/have been achieved.
