The International Association of Book-keepers (IAB) Diploma in Computerised Book-keeping (Level 3) is equivalent to an NVQ 3. Its aim is to accredit candidate's knowledge and understanding of the fundamental principles concerned in the use of a commercial computerised accounting system for both routine, non-routine and more complex tasks. In addition it accredits some IT skills of the candidates in detailing their knowledge concerning data integrity and security issues surrounding computer systems.

The course runs for 12 weeks, twice a year, with examinations taking place in January and June. It is aimed at students who wish to extend their studies and gain a qualification which demonstrates their competence. Prior knowledge of computerised software is essential, preferably Sage Line 50 which is the software used by Partners in Training. Students have the opportunity of practising on past papers with model answers and will also be expected to do some background reading and research in their own time. All candidates who achieve a Pass grade will be awarded an IAB Level 3 Diploma in Computerised Book-keeping
