Anatomy and Physiology(A&P) is the essential element of study for any beauty and holistic therapist. Students who gain an A&P qualification have a distinct advantage, having already obtained the essential underpinning knowledge prior to attending practical training.
The Beauty Exchange course is studied by distance learning, from the comfort of your own home. There is no trekking around to classes or stressful examinations!
The course is fully accredited by The Guild of Professional Therapists and Professional Beauty Direct.
For students that wish to gain points towards CPD (continual Professional Development) the course has been awared 115 points by the Guild.
The course study is in line with the standards of all major international awarding bodies. This includes the National Occupational Standards (NOS) as defined by Habia for Level 2 and 3 Beauty, Hair, Nails and Spa. It meets the NOS for Complementary Therapies as stipulated by Skills for Health. It also fulfils the requirements of professional bodies for Massage, Aromatherapy and Reflexology.

After working through each chapter of the manual, you can then complete the multiple choice test papers. There are a total of 13 papers covering each topic which have between 10 and 15 questions. It is estimated that you will need one hour in which to complete each paper. These are then posted to your assessor for marking. You will need a pass mark of 75% for each individual paper before receiving your Diploma. If you don’t pass first time you can re-take any of the papers as many times as needed until you succeed.

Prerequisites and requirements-
This is a self study course. You will need to be disciplined to dedicate time to study the course material. It is paper-based so may not be suitable for students who have difficulty with reading comprehension or for those who have impaired vision.
Please Note: You will be required to purchase an anatomy and physiology text book to study this course which can be purchased from our supplier.
Qualification and Insurance
The Beauty Exchange Diploma will be issued on successful completion of the course which entitles you to use the letters TBE Dip. after your name. The diploma is fully accredited with the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists and Professional Beauty Direct, which means that insurance cover can be obtained when progressing on to beauty and holistic courses that stipulate A&P as a prerequisite. If you intend to study further courses or advanced healthcare, it is recommended that you check with the training provider first to ensure that the A&P diploma meets the level required for their courses.
