Our First Aid Instructor Training Course is held at various locations across the country, including Cardiff, Birmingham, Coventry, Swansea, Bristol, Gloucester, Plymouth, Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield, Devon and Cornwall.
We have a range of Instructor courses that suit your needs, and that will enable you to teach fully accredited HSE First Aid courses.
Our First Aid Instructor courses will enable you to teach:
- HSE 3 Day First Aid at Work
- HSE 1 Day Emergency First Aid
- HSE 2 Day First Aid at Work (Refresher)
- AED (Defibrilator)
- Paediatric First Aid
You will also be able to assess First Aid courses for other centres.
How do I become a First Aid Instructor?
In order to become a First Aid Instructor, you will need 3 core components:
1. A current and IN DATE HSE Approved First Aid at Work or exemption qualification.
2. A minimum of a PTLLS Level 3 teaching qualification.
3. A certificate of observation from a qualified First Aid Instructor.
What happens once you become a qualified Instructor?
In order to deliver First Aid courses, you need to be registered with a HSE approved centre, or an approved Awarding Body.
There are 3 ways you can achieve this:
1. Join an already approved HSE first aid training provider (normally involving an annual fee and hidden unnecessary annual fees on top of that).
2. Apply for your own centre approval through the HSE (at a cost of £1500, plus quality assurance visit fees), and then deal with all the paperwork, red tape, program writing, certification and developing resources yourself - not forgetting sorting out your own CPD. Then find your own approved First Aid assessors to assess your courses
3. Let Concept Academies support you in setting up your own QCF approved independent training centre, allowing you to deliver your own HSE First Aid courses and other QCF accredited courses if you wish. We will provide you with all the support and assistance required to develop and create your training centre quality assurance systems, and to get you through training centre approval with a QCF awarding body. Our quality assurance systems have been tried and tested, and are fully supported by leading UK awarding bodies. You also get access to our First Aid Assessors that can come and assess your First Aid courses, and CPD opportunities.
