2 Day Advanced Physical Intervention Tutors Workshop leads to a Skills for Security Certificate
The Course is of 2 days duration and the expectation is that you already possess a current adult teaching qualification, conflict management qualification and a level 3 physical intervention qualification. The course can be delivered either in house or at a geographic location central to the numbers of candidates involved. It is a combination of theory but the main ingredient is the learning of and application of new advanced techniques.
The course is taught by an Instructor who is a 7th Dan Black Belt in Taiho-Jitsu(Arresting Techniques) and is also an ex Civilian Police Trainer of Trainers in Physical Intervention.

The course content is as follows:-
Correct use of Force and understanding the law
Alternative techniques allowing the use of compliance
Containment techniques(approved within various institutes such as Mental Health, Behavioural Establishments, Police, Prison and Military)
Relocation techniques to chairs, beds, floor, stairs and corridors.
All techniques have been approved and medically risk assessed by an independent panel on behalf of the Institute of Conflict Management. The course is endorsed by Skills for Security and is currently taught by us to Instructors on our own NOCN Level 3 Physical Intervention Instructors Award
