Advanced Level 3 Physical Intervention Course(Train the Trainer)
The course will be delivered over two sections. Section 1 consists of approximately a 6 hour distance learning package. Section 2 consists of a 5 day class room based workshop. We will provide you with a full and comprehensive manual including all the learning materials you will ever need, lesson plans and risk assessments for levels 2 and 3 techniques, templates for all administrative documentation required for delivering your training. You will then be qualified to train others in the Level 2 Door Supervisor Physical Intervention qualification as well as addressing any risks which the client identifies outside this qualification.
Further Details
The course delivered is based on a martial arts called "Taiho Jitsu" which translates into "to arrest in combat". The instructor is a 7th Dan in this martial art and a former Police Trainer of Trainers in Physical Intervention. Throughout the course we will examine the following areas:-
the requirement to use non-physical skills as far as possible
the law in relation to reasonable force and self defence
the value of assessing a situation before intervening
using physical intervention as a last resort
possible medical implications
the potential legal implications of the techniques
disengagement techniques
escorting and holding techniques
holding and containment skills.
