In approximately 18 hours, your six lessons will cover the following:
Lesson 1: Principles of double entry book-keeping; preparing Nominal Ledger accounts; preparing a list of balances.
Lesson 2: Use of the Profit and Loss account; stages in the accounting process; preparing a postings summary.
Lesson 3: Timing differences; preparing a bank reconciliation statement.
Lesson 4: Understanding the payroll process; using a payroll summary record to prepare a posting summary; making the postings to the Nominal Ledger.
Lesson 5: Purpose of the Nominal Ledger in business accounts; writing up the Nominal Ledger accounts.
Lesson 6: Using the Nominal Ledger to prepare a preliminary trial balance.

Once you have passed this course as well as our Basic Book-Keeping, Purchase and Sales Ledger courses, you will qualify to apply for affiliate membership of the Institute of Certified Book-Keepers.
You can start this course at any time and study at times to suit you.
We're open from 09:00-18:00 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; from 09:00-20:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays and 10:00-16:00 on Saturdays, so it's easy to fit your studies around your other commitments.
Completion of this course will result in the award of a handsome Pitman Training certificate to prove your knowledge and skill to employers and recruitment agencies.
