NHS Phlebotomy Training Courses
Maxis Healthcare offer Phlebotomy Training Courses in two parts.
Part I is Theory & Dry Lab Training. You'll Learn Phlebotomy Basics & Practice on Mannequins.
Part II of the course is in a medical facility where you take bloods from real patients under supervision. Receive a CERTIFICATE OF COMPETENCY when you pass. Courses meet All 18 NHS Competencies recommended by the NHS Skills For Health Org, National Occupational Standards & 'Pathway to Competency'. Course material has been developed by NHS senior phlebotomists.

1 Day Phlebotomy Intensive (Part I)
Vital Theory and Dry Lab Practice – Under the instruction of a qualified phlebotomist lecturer you will go through all the essential areas of knowledge from dealing with difficult patients or children to how to label your specimens correctly. This is followed by Dry Lab practice on Mannequins. You’ll receive a Certificate of Attendance on completion of this 1 day training.
(Optional) 1 to 2 Sessions ‘Live’ Bloods
Experience (Part II)
Practical Live Assessment – Under the supervision of a phlebotomy head within a real medical setting, you will take live bloods from real patients! At the end of this period you’ll receive a Certificate of Competency!
