Describe the main presenting features of patients with asthma and COPD
Appraise the tests and investigations which may be performed to establish a diagnosis
Apply the BTS/SIGN asthma guidelines to clinical practice
Apply the NICE COPD guidelines to clinical practice
Discuss commonalities and differences between each condition
Develop clear management strategies for each condition including pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches
Discuss the various inhaler devices available and demonstrate correct technique
Describe the main principles of spirometry and how to perform a spirometry test
