This module is run on a blended learning basis supported by a comprehensive course pack and two structured study days over 20 weeks. An emphasis will be on a student-centred approach to learning and utilising a problem solving approach to help foster both lifelong and transferable learning skills. The module will include lectures, small group work, online and classroom discussions which will assist in developing skills of analysis and theoretical application to the clinical arena.
Aims
This module will enable healthcare professionals to:
Analyse the research agenda within health and social care
Produce an analytic review of the literature using a range of resources
Identify and provide a rationale for the selection of an appropriate practice based issue, which would benefit from being researched
Appraise various approaches and techniques underpinning research within the field of health and social care
