Train the Trainer Level 3
The HABC Level 3 Train The Trainer course is specifically designed to get you into delivering training within a private, business or corporate environment.
In just 18 hours, the course will give you the basic tools of knowledge to get you off on the right foot for a SUCCESSFUL training career, and enabling you to then progress onto further teacher training programmes in the future such as PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS and the Certificate in Education (Cert Ed).
Our trainers are highly qualified, experienced trainers and teachers from a range of industry. Including secondary schools, further education, Pupil Referral Units (PRU's), military, private training, banking, bid management, marketing and construction management sectors.

Course Outline:
- 2 x 1 Day Intensive Workshops (this includes your Micro Teach)
- 8 hours self directed study where you are to complete a written assignment that demonstrates your knowledge and understanding of the role of a trainer.
What you will learn:
- How to assess learner needs before a course starts
- Understanding individual learning styles
- Planning and designing a course to meet the needs of learners
- Setting session aims and objectives that make learning relevant and SMART
- The importance of establishing ground rules in a training room
- Why and how to differentiate sessions to make learning inclusive
- Understand different resources you can use as a trainer to develop learners
- How and why we assess for learning to ensure learning has taken place
- Understanding the professional roles and boundaries of a trainer with learners
- How you can embed Functional Skills into your sessions for further learning
- How to deal with conflict and difficult learners using effective communication
- How to plan effective course schedules (Schemes of Work)
- How to plan effective session plans
- What legislation you must consider and use in the training room
- How and why you use evaluation to improve your practice and sessions
- Understand the importance of record keeping
- How to deliver an effective and engaging session to your learners
How it is assessed:
1 x Written Assignment
1 x Micro Teach session (including planning & evaluation)
Entry Requirements:
1. Learners MUST be 19 years or older.
2. You need to have a good level of Literacy in order to complete assignments accurately
3. An understanding that the course is up to 18 hours in length (2 day classroom and approximately 8 hours self study)
4. You need to be IT literate with access to a computer that has Microsoft office installed.
What do you need to bring?
Just yourself and your lunch. We provide all your reading resources, stationary, I.T and everything necessary for you to complete the programme. Refreshments are availableFREE OF CHARGE throughout the day.

Our Train the Trainer course is run on a Friday & Monday, allowing you the weekend to complete your assignment and Micro Teach planning.
