The course consists of two units; Unit HAW1 is a taught unit of 35 hours and HAW2 is a practical, workplace-based assessment which must be taken within 14 days of the HAW1 written assessment.

Assessment
Unit HAW1 is assessed by one two-hour written examination.
Unit HAW2 is assessed by one practical assessment to be undertaken in the candidate’s own workplace. This must be taken within 14 days of the date of the HAW1 written papers.
