The course aims to improve your employability by offering practical, hands-on experience wherever possible. To this end, we have introduced practical modules at each level of the programme to ensure that you can work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Not only will you be equipped with practical knowledge and skills in the area of computer Games Technology, and their applications, you will also have developed core transferable skills assisting your recruitment within the highly competitive Computer Games industry, or other professional employment.

At Level Four (year 1) you will be required to complete the following core modules:
Introduction to Computer Programming; Web Design and HCI; Computing and Society; Computing in Practice; Computer Systems.
At Level Five (year 2) you will be required to complete the following core modules:
Mathematics and Computer Graphics; Computer Games Design and Technology; Computer Games Development; Object Oriented Software Development; Personal and Professional Development.
At Level Six (year 4) you will be required to complete the following core modules:
Network Security; Computer Forensics and the Criminal Justice System; Mobile Systems and Network Forensics.
Final Year Project; Advanced Computer Games Development and Advanced Computer Graphics.
Students must also choose to study 36 credits from two of the following modules: Computer Vision and AI; Game Console Technologies and Programming; Multiplayer Online Games Development; Cloud Computing; Green and Sustainable Computing; Technology Entrepreneurship; Computing in Education and Work Placement Evaluation (NB. Students must have completed a sandwich-year placement to complete this module).
