This qualifications aim to equip learners with the knowledge, skills and understanding required for teaching in the Lifelong Learning sector. The objectives of the qualifications are to help learners to:
•understand the roles and responsibilities of the teacher
•understand appropriate teaching and learning approaches within
•a specialist area plan, deliver and evaluate a micro-teach session
•understand the use of different assessment methods and the need for record keeping
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Learners should normally hold or are working towards at least a level 3 qualification or equivalent in their own area of specialism before beginning this qualification.
HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED
Learners will undertake a microteaching session which will be observed and assessed by a member of the delivery team. In addition, learners are required to observe the microteaching sessions of other learners
