Certificate of Managment of Electrical Equipment Maintenance
The aim of this unit is to enable the candidate to manage the administrative responsibilities for the maintenance of electrical equipment.
Candidates should successfully achieve the inspection & testing qualification (2377-12) before undertaking the management course (2377-11).
It is expected that candidates attempting this qualification should be familiar with electrical systems and hazards of electricity in order to satisfactorily complete this qualification. Without this prior knowledge, it is advised that delegates attend the two day (2377-12) to ensure they have the potential to successfully gain the qualification.

Course Content
The law and scope of the legislation relevant to the
management of electrical equipment maintenance
Types, use and testing of electrical equipment used
for in-service inspection and testing
Procedures, documentation and user responsibilities
that are required for in-service inspection and testing
Training that is required for in-service inspection and testing
Appropriate test instruments and how they are
used within in-service inspection and testing
GOLA on-line exam 1 ½ hours
(45 questions – open book)
Delegates require a personal copy of the Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection & Testing of Electrical Equipment, published by the IEE. This will be used throughout the course and can be used for reference during the exam.
