This course provides the background and practical knowledge required for surveying buildings for asbestos and the taking of any bulk samples. Training is in accordance with HSG 264.

Content of the BOHS P402 syllabus: Introduction and legislative requirements 5%; Asbestos in buildings 45%; Bulk sampling 15%; Practical work 35%
NB: Candidates must pass the exam and practical assessment. They will then be required to submit two written survey reports to BOHS for assessment before they can be awarded the BOHS P402 proficiency certificate.
