Day 1: • Introduction • Legislative requirements • Types and uses of asbestos in buildings • Surveys of asbestos containing materials in buildings (ACMs) Day 2: • Surveys of ACMs in buildings (cont) • Risk assessment of ACMs in buildings • Management of ACMs in buildings Day 3: • Practical assessment • Bulk sampling • BOHS exam supervised and marked by BOHS • (40 short answer questions - 2 hours hr)

What will I be able to do on completion?
The BOHS P402 Building Surveys & Bulk Sampling proficiency module is the minimum recognised qualification required to undertake Asbestos surveys. The BOHS P402 provides the background and practical knowledge required for surveying buildings for asbestos and the taking of any bulk samples.
How will I be assessed?
Four hour practical assessment and two hour written exam.
