The National General Certificate is the most widely held health and safety qualification in the UK with over 100,000 people having gained the award since it was launched in 1989. The NEBOSH National General Certificate covers the main legal requirements for health and safety in the UK, identification and control of workplace hazards, and the practical application of this knowledge. The qualification is divided into three units, each of which is assessed separately: Management of Health and Safety (NGC1) | Controlling workplace hazards (NGC2) | Health and safety practical application (NGC3) A more detailed breakdown of each unit is available upon request. The course is delivered over 12 days and then requires a further day and a half of examinations. Cost is £1095 (including exam fees and materials) plus vat. Delivered over one-day per week, on the following dates:- Friday 2nd September 2011 and then each Friday for 12 weeks. The exams will take place at the beginning of December (dates to be confirmed).
