Further Details

In the search for bodycare products that didn't contain harsh chemicals, preservatives and detergents, Katrina McKenzie first embarked on her soap making journey by attending an introductory course on how to make natural, skin friendly soaps. Since then she hasn't been able to stop, and has been making soap for four years now. As a result of her love of creativity, and natural, eco-friendly products she has now started up her own soap company Small World Soaps where she hopes to be able to provide other people with bodycare products that are both kind to their skin as well as the environment.

Location

This fun and engaging course is being held in one of the only fully functional low carbon retrofit show homes in the South of England. Oak Tree House is an existing property that has been renovated with a wide range of low carbon technology, energy efficiency measures and renewable technology. Whilst taking your course at the house, you will have the opportunity to look around the property and learn what you could do in your own home to further reduce your carbon footprint or find out more about a renewable technology.
