Protection from Abuse for Vulnerable Adults and the Safety of Children
The above is a one day 7hr course and is designed to aid staff who work with and provide services for Vulnerable Adults to recognise the nature, signs and symptoms of abuse and neglect to know how to prevent abusive situations arising and how to manage and report any abuse that occurs. The course also enables staff to ensure the safety of children where they come into contact with staff and vulnerable adults in the provision of services.
The training is therefore aimed at the following staff groups:-
All grades of staff in EMI Nursing Homes, Residential Homes, Supported Housing Schemes, Homeless Hostels, Sheltered Housing Schemes, Day Care provision, Domiciliary care staff, Counsellors working with vulnerable adults or adolescents who may have been subjected to abuse.
