Creative Courses for 2007. Residential Three Day Creative Holiday courses at St Marks a grade 2 listed building in The outstanding setting of the Howgill Fells in Cumbria. Costs include En Suite Room, Breakfast, Morning Coffee, Lunch, Afternoon Tea and 3 Course Evening Meal with Wine. You have the tuition and tutorial support of 2 tutors and full use of the studio outside tuition times. All Levels are catered for with emphasis is on the creative development of your own personal work. The course is suitable for people who have a love of textiles and who are looking for new directions, people who have completed a course in textiles and wish to develop their own personal work; Teachers who have to deliver the curriculum in textile departments and wish to build a body of knowledge about new technology such as computer textile design and computerised machine embroidery and how to link this with exciting hands on creative experimental art techniques.

Norma Hopkins holds a BA (Hons) in Embroidery and a Post Graduate Teaching Certificate. She has 17 years teaching experience in adult education. She was team leader of 3 art tutors and internal verifyer for Open College of the North West for Blackpool & The Fylde college and internal verifier for art at South Trafford College. She now teaches private classes in Timperley and exhibits her work with Textiles 21 Terri Jones Holds a degree in Sociology and a post Graduate Certificate in PSW. She became fieldworker for Preson College which led to a career change where she re trained in Textiles Fashion. Terri has also taught textiles for 17 years. She was Curriculum Leader in Textiles at Bolton College. Terri continues to teach Creative Craft subjects in Manchester.
