This course is aimed at all employees and is designed to improve the safety culture within an organisation. It focuses on how individual actions contribute to Health and Safety in the workplace and provides an understanding of an individual’s responsibilities.The course can be delivered as part of an induction programme or as part of ongoing training.
The course covers:·
Identifying hazards and risks in the workplace;
Accidents and their causes;
Legal rights and duties of employers and employees;
Identifying and controlling common hazards such as fire, electricity, chemicals and work equipment;
Investigating Accidents;
Measuring and Reviewing Performance
There are no barriers to entry to the IOSH Working Safely Certificate programme. (It should be noted that the assessment includes a requirement to write a short report and, as all assessments are currently undertaken in English, a good standard of written English is necessary.)
