At the end of this course participants will be able to;
•Define the need for modelling and modelling techniques
•Explain why it is important to model system requirements from different perspectives
•Develop use case diagrams with supporting use case descriptions
•Develop analysis class models with supporting documentation
•Develop a sequence diagram
•Develop an activity diagram to model the user interface
•Evaluate selected models against business objectives and system requirements
•Describe how the products of analysis feed into the design and development of a system
ISEB certificates
This course prepares participants to sit a one-hour, open book, examination leading to the certificate in Systems Modelling Techniques offered by the Information Systems Examinations Board (ISEB). This certificate is a core certificate in the ISEB diploma in Systems Development and is also an optional certificate in the ISEB diploma in Business Analysis.
