Level 1 National Award in Wall Tiling
YTA delivers quality Construction Training Courses and is an established and recognised training centre within the industry being able to offer bespoke or accredited courses for individuals, schools, collages or companies. We currently offer In-House Qualifications, Level 1 and Level 2 National Recognised Awards and NVQ Level 2 and NVQ Level 3.

YTA are proud to be working in partnership with Leeds City College formally Leeds College of Technology in offering NVQ's. We are also a CAA centre offering NVQ's.
We can provide training for anyone looking to learn a construction trade whether they are looking at guidance for DIY purposes or considering a change of career, everything from a 1 day taster course, 1 or 2 week intensive courses, multiple week Multi-Skill courses and NVQ site assessments.

This course is a Level 1 National Award in Wall Tiling Skills through the awarding body EDI.
Although the Award does say wall tiling, you will still tile a bathroom floor on the course.
The course will be conducted as if you were involved in a tiler's working day going through all the stages of conducting everyday projects.
By the end of the 5 Day Tiling Course, you will have covered the following:-
Health and Safety (tool safety and lifting technique)
Surface Preparation (Priming, Ply boarding)
Correct Adhesives and Grouts for differing situations
Setting out (wall and floor, window, kitchen, bathroom)
Tiling on uneven walls
Tiling techniques
Use of tile trims
Use of all Tiling tools and tilers FULL tool kit explained
Differing tile types and characteristics. (Ceramic, Porcelain)
All aspects of cutting and drilling (pipe holes, curves, toilet wastes, plugs, door ways, bath sides and shower pipes)
Silicone sealing and removal
Tricks of the trade throughout the course
Full Measuring and In-Depth Quoting based on your full size kitchens and bathrooms.
Marketing Techniques
Business cards, logo design and how to advertise
Insurance, CIS scheme and CSCS cards
