This two day course is designed for new and potential team leaders, supervisors, managers and others who have a need to understand good practice in leadership, discipline, motivation and communication. Including a discussion to establish where the course delegates feel their problems are, an examination of traditional and modern methods of good practice using up to date examples and an introduction to the basic principles of John Adair's Action Centred Leadership. The course will look at the real meaning of disciplinary and grievance procedures and an examination of what is required to ensure that policies are understood and adhered to in the work place. Finally, over the two days, attendees will investigate what motivates or demotivates people at work and examine the critical importance of communication at work.
