Further Details
As of 20 March 2006, it became illegal to work as, or supply security in England and Wales without a Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence. SIAs own figures estimate, almost 500,000 people are required to work in the security industry and just 100,000 have obtained their licence. It is also one of the fastest-growing professions in the UK. That leaves a huge amount still to get their licence and real job opportunities for those that do.
