Who should attend?
This course has been designed for supervisors, middle management and the owners of small businesses or indeed anyone with a responsibility for health and safety. It is intended to equip persons in a supervisory position with adequate knowledge to ensure that their company operates in a safe manner. A foundation knowledge of health and safety is recommended, but not essential.
Course content
The course will be presented in a varied and interesting way and will include the following:
The concepts of health & safety
Workplace accidents & ill health
Work equipment
Legislation
Manual handling
Supervising health & safety.
Course book and a comprehensive delegate pack will be provided.
Duration
The course is held over 4 days, concluding with a 2-hour multi-choice test.
Qualification
All successful candidates will receive an Intermediate Certificate in Supervising Health and Safety. (NVQ level 2 equivalent)
Progression
Advanced Certificate in Health & Safety in the Workplace
