Risk assessment/First aid at work
Personal protective equipment
Workplace health, safety and welfare
Work equipment/Electricity/Fire prevention
Occupational health/Hazardous substances
Ergonomics and workstation design
Manual handling/Noise
Course book and a comprehensive delegate pack will be provided.
Duration
The course is approximately 6 hours' duration and conducted during one day. It is followed by a short multiple choice test.
Qualification
All successful candidates will receive the Foundation Certificate in Health & Safety in the Workplace. (NVQ level 1 equivalent)
Progression
Intermediate Certificate in Supervising Health & Safety.
