Who should attend? This course is ideal for individuals who wish to gain knowledge of emergency procedures and attain a recognised qualification in First Aid. Course content: Responsibilities & reporting Dealing with an unconscious casualty Heart Attacks Fractures Choking Burns Assessment of the situation Resuscitation Control of bleeding Shock In addition to the core subjects as listed above, an additional 1 hour is available to cover specific areas that are appropriate to your organisation. Duration: A 6 hour course consisting of theory and practical work.. Qualification: Although there is no formal assessment, the trainer will access each individual ongoing throughout the course. The qualification is valid for 3 years. Numbers: A maximum of 16 students can be accommodated on the course. Location: Highfield is able to deliver this course on your site, subject to a pre-course assessment of your premises, thus reducing your costs in respect of additional time out and travelling
