The construction industry is booming and according to official figures from the construction Industry Training Board 450,000 new recruits will be needed by 2007 to meet demand. If you are contemplating entering the industry there has never been a better time. This course was specifically developed for anybody interested in entering the dry lining sector requiring comprehensive knowledge of all systems and techniques used. The course will benefit clients who are thinking of applying for their CSCS Card or preparing for NVQ assessments through the CITB On Site Assessment & Training Scheme (OSAT). The course will provide the confidence for new entrants to the industry to work on a self employed basis, for sub contractors or main contractors. The course has proved very popular with top dry liners capable of earning £1000 per week. How much you earn is entirely down to your own effort. The cost of the course includes Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) comprising of safety boots, overalls, hi-visibility vest, safety hat, safety glasses and gloves. The client can keep their PPE at the end of the course so they have the correct safety clothing when they start work. This is an intensive course which includes Health & Safety, Risk Assessments, Method Statements and safe handling, removal and disposal of materials to meet new environmental laws. Product information and demonstartation of sysems used on commercial, housing and refurbishment sectors. Health & Safety course up to the standard to take CSCS Card H&S test. Includes numerous practice CITB H&S tests in preparation for the official independent test at a later date. All setting out work and working from drawings with different specifications. Chopsaw (abrasive wheel) cartridge gun and PASMA Awareness Aluminium Mobile Tower course. Installing various systems including stud wall, gypliner, shaft wall, dot & dab, taping and jointing for commercial, housing and refurbishment sectors. Training in line with NVQ units, portfolio work and manufacturers manual. The course also included FREE dry liners toolkit: screw gun, 6ft level, knife, claw hammer, measuring tape, pad saw, 110v extension lead, nail pouch, surf form, mastic gun, chalk line and toolbag.
