The Construction Industry is booming and according to official figures from the Construction Industry Training Board 450,000 new recruits will be needed by 2007 to meet demand. If you are contemplating entering the industry there has never been a better time. The cost of the course includes Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) comprising of safety boots, overalls, hi-visibility vest, safety hat, safety glasses and gloves. The client can keep their PPE at the end of the course so they have the correct safety clothing when they start work. 4 day practical basic plastering course which includes a 15 minute health & Safety Induction. The course is very much 'hands on' and covers disposal of materials to meet new environmental laws, preparation of surfaces, cutting and fixing plasterboard, fixing angle bead, mixing plaster to the correct consisency and applying plaster to ceilings and walls to a suitable finish for decoration.
