IOSH Managing Safely
Managing safely is for managers and supervisors in any sector, and any organisation. It’s designed to get managers up to speed on the practical actions they need to take to handle health and safety in their teams.
This course is for people at any level, in any sector, needing a grounding in the essentials of health and safety.
This course meets the government's guidelines for introductory health and safety training and is a hundred per cent match to the Health and Safety Executive's 'passport' syllabus. It includes the key topics like introduction of working safely, defining hazard and risk, identifying common hazards, improving safety performance, protecting the environment.
Delegates will learn the realities of the human suffering behind the statistics and the importance of personal responsibility, terms like 'hazard' and 'risk' in everyday language, examples and recognizable scenarios of common hazards, the role played by everyone in systems and processes, basics of waste and pollution concerns. It also helps to hear real world examples from a seasoned professional.
