Course Objectives.

We aim to make all attendees proficient with the basic tools, materials, backgrounds, preparations, and techniques of kitchen fitting.

You will cover the following units:

* Identify and use tools, equipment and materials used for kitchen fitting.
* Measuring, planning and typical layouts.
* Dealing with corners and uneven walls.
* Planning for electrical sockets, water pipes and waste, dishwashers, fridges, freezers and extractor fan hood.
* Installation of base and wall units.
* Scribing and cutting to meet uneven walls.
* WORKTOPS-Cutting out of sink and cooker hob recesses, mitre cuts, etc.
* Measuring and cutting mitre joints, and fitting plinths, pelmets and cornice.
* Fitting and levelling doors.
* Understanding products, their suitable uses, terminology and jargon used.
* Understanding the different methods used to price jobs, dealing with customers and overcoming problems that may arise. You will also be provided with support after completing your course and you are able to contact your tutor, email or call into the training centre to discuss your queries.
