Emergency First Aid At Work - 1 Day - (HSE Accredited)
Emergency First Aid At Work training courses are for appointed persons and are health & safety executive recommended, non assessed courses. This is the minimum level of First Aid training for the workplace, appropriate for low risk enviroments or for those acting in the absence of a fully qualified First Aider.
To be able to provide basic life support, delegates will receive training in a range of appointed person First Aid subjects including:
*Aims & principles of First Aid
*Action at an emergency
*Basic life support & CPR
*Primary Survey/Secondary Survey
*Head Injuries/Spinal Injuries
*Management of the unconscious casualty/Recovery Position
*Treatment of a casualty who is wounded, bleeding or in shock
*Treatment of fractures, dislocations and soft tissue injuries
*Assessment & treatment of burns
This course is a full day course, ensuring that delegates have time to fully understand the sylabus taught to them, and practice fully the techniques covered.
On completion of this basic life support course, delgates will receive a First Aid certificate of attendance to the standard of Emergency First Aid For Appointed Person. Appointed person certificates are issued approximately 1-2 weeks after completion date of the course.
