NVQ Advice and Guidance Certificate Level 3

The level 3 certificate is designed to reflect the activities and responsibilities of candidates who are advice and guidance practitioners that work directly with clients, disseminating information, advice and some level of guidance. Candidates will be working with information that is often interpreted by others, usually working within some clear guidelines.

For the full level 3 certificate learners will need to achieve a total of 21 credits made up as follows: 4 mandatory units totalling 12 credits and 3 optional units totalling 9 credits.

Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships are available for 16 – 18, 19 – 24 and 25 plus. To be eligible for an apprenticeship you are required to work 16 hours per week.

BHP Training may be able to help you with a work placement if you are not currently working.

Your qualification will exist with NVQ diploma, Functional Skills at the appropriate level and Employment Certificate.

Delivery is in the workplace and also group sessions / workshops held at BHP Training.

Whilst there are no prior entry requirements in terms of knowledge and understanding of underpinning principles of providing advice and guidance, the requirements of your role and guidance service will need to be demonstrated. You will have worked in your role for at least 6 months. You will have completed your probationary period and relevant induction. You must be working consistently in a role that reflects the evidence requirements for the qualification.
