This three-day “Off the Job” Accredited Training Course has been designed to assist in the standardisation of the training competencies required for Door Staff on a national level. Successful candidates who complete this Course are awarded with The National Training Organisation (Skills Sector Council late 2002) for the Secure Environment (SITO) Certificate of Qualification. The details of their qualification and achievement will be entered onto SITO’s national database. This accredited Course is above the minimum training standards for Door Staff and meets the requirements of BS.7960: 1999 This Course also Complies with the new Private Security Industry Act 2001 Guidelines.

Course Objectives Upon completion of the three day Course candidates will have achieved the required level of knowledge and understanding in the following areas The Roles and Responsibilities of Door Staff Customer Care & Social Skills Equal Opportunities & Discrimination Issues Health & Safety Licensing Laws Violence & Dealing with Aggression Civil & Criminal Law Arrest Fire Precautions Search Procedures Drugs & Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 Emergency Procedures Report Writing & Crime Scenes Dealing with Aggression Radio use & procedures The Private Security Industry Act 2001 (Optional) N.B. This Training Course gives successful Candidates a recognised Accredited National Qualification in Door Supervision. Although Provincial Local Authority Licensing Schemes have an element of Practical Training they are not Accredited Training Bodies, Candidates will, in order to work, have to meet the criteria of each respective Local Authority before being able to work in their area. N.B. A Door Supervisors Licence does not give the holder a vocational Qualification. This course is SITO Accredited and Certificated
