We place the learner at the centre of everything and this course examines how to improve learning in every aspect of your work. If you are hoping to continue your professional development, this course will allow you to build on your existing knowledge and skills.
You will learn about the key aspects of the process of learning and you will explore how your words and actions can impact the learner.
Children with special needs are the focus for one part of the course whilst positive behaviour management is a key aspect of another. Issues of legal frameworks and safeguarding children are explored. This is combined with practical information and support in relation to helping you develop and build the sound basic skills you require to do the job.
There are 18 short modules. Each module contains a number of topics and each topic is introduced and its relevance explained.
Each of the short module has been developed to give you an introduction into specific areas that you may encounter as a teaching assistant and would benefit from understanding more about.
The modules within the course can be taken in any order depending on your own preference.
