New teachers/trainers or anyone delivering training within organisations. This is the minimum teaching requirement for anyone teaching in the post 16 sector.

Portfolio of work Micro teach session (30 minute lesson delivered in class)

4 Assignments
1. Produce a plan for a 25-30 minute micro-teach session that identifies; the session's learning outcomes and gives a breakdown of teaching, learning and assessment approaches and tasks to be used to ensure that the learning outcomes are met and achieved. Delivery of a micro teach session followed by a self assessment based in the feedback from the tutor and peers.
2. 1,200 word essay outlining the roles and responsibilities of the teacher/trainer including legislation, equality, diversity and inclusion, internal and external assessment and the importance of keeping records.
3. A review of a teaching session within the context of a full teaching programme. To produce 2 lesson/session plans from this teaching programme and identify the aspects of point 1 above.
4. Portfolio of evidence
