discrimination and equality issues about disability
Identify the attitudinal and institutional barriers faced by
disabled children and adults
Identify the social model of disability
Identify the difference between disability and impairment
Identify the history of the social model, where it came from
and how it was developed
Identify disability as a rights issue
Identify disability as a socio economic issue
Identify language about disability
Identify how the use of language about disability shows an
awareness of the issues
Identify that language should be self determined
Identify how the social model can be put into practise. a
genuine impact on the behaviours of your employees and
subsequently the culture of your organisation
