The Training Skills and Practice Certificate is designed to equip potential trainers with the basic skills necessary to design and deliver effective presentations and training programmes. It is suitable for anyone whose role necessitates delivering presentations or undertaking and managing training programmes within their workplace.

The CIEH syllabus covers:
* Training needs and objectives
* The learning environment
* Training aids and training methods
* Design and planning of training sessions, including the use of training aids
* Delivery and communication
* Training evaluation and assessment
Delegates should bring with them a presentation that lasts about 20 minutes on any chosen topic. After participating in the skills session each delegate will be required to plan and deliver a training session that will be observed and assessed.
