This two day taught course enables students to gain from studying in a group setting and from hearing about the lecturers’ experiences, using examples from their own clinical midwifery and complementary therapy practice to illustrate different aspects. There is also an optional extra study day on Fertility, conception and infertility (supplement payable).
The course is accredited by the Federation of Holistic Therapists and is suitable for: complementary practitioners; antenatal educators, maternity support workers, doulas. Anyone with a particular interest in pregnancy and childbirth may wish to consider the Certificate in Maternity Complementary Therapies or the Maternity Support programme. It may also suit anyone interested in becoming a midwife but who is unable to attend our full Preparation for Midwifery programme.
The course can also be delivered in-house for colleges and schools of complementary therapies requiring input on pregnancy, childbirth and maternity care.
