3rd and 4th November 2012 Review and reflection on applications for midwifery;
Personal statements, preparation for interviews
Stress in midwifery practice

Physiology and care during labour and birth; Pain relief in labour
Communication skills in midwifery - written, verbal, non-verbal, including record keeping, language of midwifery, touch

6th and 7th April 2013 Postnatal physiology and care
Infant feeding – breast and artificial feeding
Psycho-social issues in pregnancy, birth and early motherhood

Research in midwifery
Accessing resources for professionals and parents, including research papers, voluntary support groups
Introduction to genetics and genomics

Payment by installments £599 - £99 non-returnable deposit with application; one payment of £125 prior to commencement, then five payments of £75 from 1st November 2012 to 1st March 2013
