Trait Access Courses (Selection & Development)
To use Trait in your work we are offering a flexible programme of training for those who do not need the full Level A&B qualification. This will allow you to start using Trait straight away to help make meaningful interventions in organisations without huge commitments of time and also offering training in Psychometrics and their use at a very cost effective rate.
The two courses outlined below can be done in any order and you do not need to attend both if your needs do not require you to do so, so you may decide to just use Trait for coaching and development work or you may need to use Trait for recruitment and selection work or perhaps both.
Both courses are underpinned by a short "Foundations" pre-coursework element which qualifies you for entry on both courses.
Selection Workshop
Once you have attended the one day selection workshop you will be able to :
Describe and understand the design, structure, and psychometric properties of the Trait personality inventory
Use the Trait scales to define assessment criteria of ‘ideal personality profiles’
Competently administer Trait to test takers
Competently interpret Trait scale scores to provide accurate and appropriate descriptions of personality
Prepare and conduct oral feedback sessions with test candidates
Prepare written selection reports of Trait results for test candidates, and organisational clients
Identify the key components of a policy for the use of the Trait personality inventory in your organisation
Once you have attended the one day deveopment workshop you will be able to:
Introduce Trait competently as a means to developing individuals.
Competently interpret Trait scale scores to provide accurate and appropriate descriptions of personality.
Use the Trait scales to hypothesise potential development needs for these scores.
Prepare and conduct an exploratory development feedback session for two people.
Prepare written development reports of Trait results for test takers and for their organisations.
Have an understanding of typical development methods and recommending appropriate actions based on the results of Trait and the interview.

Venue: These are held in central Birmingham or can be delivered in-house subject to numbers
Dates: Each Selection and Recruitment and Development course will be held once a month.
The course takes 1 day.
Delegate numbers : We keep these very small at 6 per course to ensure quality of delivery.
Price: Both courses are very competitively priced at £149 each.
With each course you also get 5 free trait assessments to use with your clients to get you started - this is worth £140.
Courses paid in full at time of booking.
If you take both courses this exempts you from most of the formal Level B qualification should you wish to gain full accreditation.
