NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 in Fabrication and Welding

This qualification at a Level 2 standard aims to train candidates to a level of practical proficiency in different areas of fabrication and welding practice. It provides school leavers, who are new to the industry, with an opportunity to obtain appropriate practical skills and knowledge required.

This qualification at a Level 3 standard aims to nurture the candidate from a basic knowledge of fabrication and welding to becoming more experienced and highly developed in understanding the functions and materials of the equipment used. It also aims to teach the candidate the correct safety procedures that are non-negotiable in the fabrication and welding industry.

An NVQ is a qualification that is spread usually over a 12 month period (dependant on the candidates competency). A qualified training assessor will make monthly visits, where they will observe the candidate whilst in his job role. Candidates are also required to complete a portfolio as part of their NVQ.
