The NVQ EWPA is a route enabling an experienced worker to achieve their NVQ level 2 in their relevent trade through practical assesment.

By using your skills acquired over the years to complete a task in our NVQ centre (approx 1 to 2 days) which is then assessed.

The NVQ assessor will evaluate your skills through professional discussion, witness statements and the practical assessment.

By completing the EWPAR it is possible to achieve the required NVQ level 2 needed to gain access to site work

Full Qualification Title = Cskills Awards Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Plastering (Solid - Full) - QUF839

Candidate Eligibility = You must have 5 years experience for the EWPAR Plastering NVQ level 2.


Qualification Explained = The aim of this qualification is to recognise the knowledge, skills and competence demonstrated by an individual in the workplace. This Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Plastering provides the opportunity for individuals who specialise in plastering to demonstrate their competence.

The units in this plastering nvq qualification are derived from National Occupational Standards



To complete the Plastering NVQ level 2 (Solid - Full) candidates must complete all 5 of the below mandatory plastering nvq units PLUS TWO out of the 4 extra plastering units A, B, C or D.

QCF01 - Conforming to General Safety in the Workplace

QCF02 - Conforming to Efficient Working Practices in the Workplace

QCF03 - Moving and Handling Resources in the Workplace

QCF66 - Producing Internal Solid Plastering Finishes in the Workplace

QCF67 - Producing External Solid Render Finishes in the Workplace



PLUS any TWO of options A, B, C and D

OPTION A - Install Mechanically Fixed Plasterboard

QCF71 Installing Mechanically Fixed Plasterboard in the Workplace



OPTION B - Install Direct Bond Dry Linings

QCF68 Installing Direct Bond Dry Linings in the Workplace



OPTION C - Apply Finishing Plaster to Background Surfaces

Timescale of Plastering NVQ

YTA currently employ 3 full time NVQ Plastering Assessors for the Plastering NVQ's providing a dedicated service to candidates undertaking their Plastering NVQ. YTA has the staff, systems and facilities to put a candidate through their Plastering NVQ level 2 in as little as 1 to 2 days.

YTA currently employ a City&Guilds and CAA IV (Internal Verifyer) giving the candidate peace of mind whilst ensuring the quality of the assessments and NVQ code of practice standards are maintained at all times.
