The subjects covered vary from the principles of acoustics to the identification and management of work related noise problems. A number of practical elements are included to help with the task of reducing noise exposure in the workplace to an acceptable level.

- To understand how and why people suffer work related hearing loss
- To develop an understanding of the effects of noise on people
- To provide an insight into instrumentation and practical noise monitoring
- To develop sufficient knowledge of Noise at Work Legislation
- To provide an insight into the principles of noise control
- To introduce the participant to the use of noise measurement and assessment equipment
- To ensure that participants have sufficient information and knowledge to undertake effective remedial action in the workplace
- To ensure training and competency to satisfy HSE requirements
- Course assessment and certification
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Managers and supervisors who have to manage noise within the workplace. Anyone who has to undertake noise assessments and provide proposals for noise reduction within the workplace.
