Level 2 Award in Principles of Manual Handling
The CIEH Level 2 Award in Manual Handling – Principles and Practice combines both the theoretical and hands-on elements of the subject and teaches learners techniques to lift, carry, push and pull objects safely within their individual capabilities.
The outcomes will be:
• Identify and understand the risks
• Learn the value of risk assessment and how to apply it
• Make recommendations to manage risks
• Apply the principles of safer handling to a range of everyday manual handling tasks
Further Details
When this course is run in house there should be no more than twelve delegates on the course at any one time.
The course can be run over half a day for the principles or you can have a one-day programme that will include a practical session, this will cover both the principles and practices.
The half-day exam assessment will be a multiple choice exam. While the one-day assessment will be a multiple choice exam and also a practical assessment. This will cover both the principles and practices.
